The Chicago Metropolitan Chapter of N.O.B.L.E. takes meaningful steps to end domestic violence in the community. By partnering with State’s Attorney, Anita Alvarez, Family Rescue and other partners such as Chicago’s Trinity United Church and Olive Harvey College, we orient families in the prevention of domestic violence and provide education and resource information for victims of domestic violence. NOBLE's basis in law enforcement provides first-hand knowledge about the devastation of family violence, therefore we are committed to being a part of the solution. A second focus in that category is the street violence that inflict our neighborhoods. To that end, we direct our efforts to reduce domestic violence and violence associated with illegal firearms, gangs and drugs. In addition to mentoring our youth on these issues, our chapter conducts drives as well as forums and other events to address these social ills and equip our communities to fight against them. Furthermore, our chapter also has been involved in legislative efforts to address crime and the aspect of the charging of crimes and sentencing.
