It’s that time of the year again. Join TeamNOBLE for the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation’s 20th Annual Run to Remember. The Run to Remember is dedicated to honoring the lives of fallen Chicago police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The foundation provides support and assistance to the families of these officers. It helps those who have lost their loved ones or whose family members have been catastrophically injured while serving and protecting the community.

The event also serves as a fundraiser. Participants run or walk in the 5K race, and the funds raised go toward supporting the families of fallen and injured Chicago Police Officers. This event not only commemorates the sacrifice of brave officers but also brings the community together to support their families during difficult times.

Time: Race begins at 8:00 am
Location: Gold Star Families Memorial & Park (1410 Special Olympics Dr.)

Who is impacted by sickle cell disease?

Approximately 100,000 people in the U.S. are living with sickle cell disease. Most people
with sickle cell disease are African American or of African descent. In fact, the disease
affects 1 out of every 365 African American babies born in this country.

How can I help?

Blood donors who are Black have the unique ability to help patients with sickle cell disease.
A person with sickle cell disease may need a precise pairing with a blood donor, especially if
frequent transfusions are necessary. To help avoid
transfusion-related complications, a patient is more likely to find the most compatible blood match from a donor of the same race or similar ethnicity.

When you give blood you save lives in the community and beyond. All blood types welcome!

Every day, families face the emotional and economic toll of having a child in the hospital. Ronald McDonald House Charities provides housing to keep families together, and provides a comfortable, warm, and loving home away from home. NOBLE partnered with RMHC-University of Chicago Comers and provided 30 hot meals for those families in need.

NOBLE Chicago Metro was proud to partner with Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois State Police for a public service announcement heading into Memorial Day weekend. A strong message was sent during a time that people are hitting the road and every day after. This PSA was made possible due to a grant from State Farm / AAA.

Welcome and thank you for entrusting the leadership of this great organization, Chicago Metropolitan Chapter of NOBLE (National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives), to me for the next two years. Thank you for your continued support and loyalty to NOBLE’s mission.

On behalf of the Executive Board and the Membership, we welcome you to partner with us on a wide array of collaborations to re-establish and continue building trust between law enforcement and the community we serve. The community is an integral part of the criminal justice system, especially the issues that impact African American communities. To that end, our mission is to strive for equity in the administration of justice while being committed to “Justice by Action.”

We invite you to be a part of this journey with us. The Chicago Metro Chapter is comprised of law enforcement executives and rank and file from agencies at the federal, state and local levels. We also have members from all sectors of the criminal justice arena (judges, prosecutors, public defenders, etc). We are especially appreciative of our non-law enforcement members. We encompass community members, youth leaders, faith-based groups, businesses, educators and elected officials who work diligently with us to educate and advance the mission. Please note: You do not have to be a sworn law enforcement officer to be a member of this Chapter.

We look forward to building mutual trust through respect, transparency, and integrity. We look to empower as much as to be empowered. Through this networking, we continue to evolve laying the groundwork for a lasting partnership to the benefit of the communities we live and serve.
